Window Box Inspiration

One of my projects this spring is to make and install window boxes on my shed/chicken coop. I’ve been searching Pinterest and Instagram to find the best tutorials and inspo pics and now I can’t wait to get started.

Contained Creations has a BEAUTIFUL website. I’d argue that she is the best at container gardening. She has a lot of inspiration and offers fool proof plans on her website.
Window Box Gardener stopped me mid scroll with this colorful window box. The ranunculus, snapdragons, and pansies are gorgeous!
My shed is black and I love the variegated green and white against the dark wood.
Casey Lawrence has a beautiful property and an inspirational garden. This window box is one of my favs with the trailing greenery and spots of bright color.
BHG with this gorgeous green and white window box. I love the fullness and simplicity of colors with this one. It’d really pop against my black shed.
Lilypad Cottage. Her eye for design is spot on and her window boxes are always a show stopper. She changes them with the seasons and I’m always excited to see what she does year after year.
Midwest Living is a great resource for inspiration. These sweet potato vines are my fav and will definitely be in my window boxes this year.
Ok sweet potato vine and coleus! I love the bursts of pink petunia between the and the creeping Jenny on the bottom.
Jill Brooks took this pic in Vermont. Her photography is stunning and so is this window box.
Home is Where the Boat Is has so many inspiring window boxes on her page, especially this one with those white geraniums!

I can’t wait to get started building my own window boxes. Stay tuned for photos and a tutorial.
